Alejandro González Treviño

Professor – Chemistry, Biology and Geological Sciences

After earning his bachelor of science degree in biology at the Universidad Autónima de Nuevo León, Alejandro studied wildlife management and sustainable development. Highly energetic, he believes that biology is not only about learning concepts, it is knowing how to apply these concepts to daily life.

To learn more about those topics. he wants to apply biological concepts in marine ecosystems, using cutting-edge methodologies such as molecular biology and bioinformatics, to elucidate the evolutionary and ecological unknowns of ecosystems, communities and species, working with other scientists around the world.

He enjoys teaching at Harkness because the students at this school keep the teacher focused on the newest and most impactful information. And through Harkness discussions, create an energetic “learning circle” between students and teachers.
